Fire Detection and extinguishing systems which do not require any external power supply to operate, require no electrical installation/wiring and operational even during energy break down, can such as system be designed for various environments and deployed with ease. The answer is YES, and we are happy to be associated with FIRETRACE- the leading provider of environmentally-responsible fire protection solutions to protect “micro-environments”. FIRETRACE is UL listed, FM and LPCB approved product and has been installed for more than 2, 50,000 + applications in the world.
A Firetrace system will automatically detect and suppress a fire in seconds by delivering eco-friendly extinguishing agents directly to the source of the fire. The principle is a simple self-activating system. Firetrace employs a flexible detection and delivery system called Firetrace Tubing. The Firetrace Tubing, which is pressurized, is placed within an enclosed area above potential fire hazards and secured in place with brackets provided.
When the temperature is increased to above 248°F (120°C) or the Firetrace automatic detection tube is touched by a flame the tube bursts and initiates the diffusion of the extinguishing medium. Firetrace system is Immune to dirt, vibration and temperature and reacts 10x faster than conventional detection systems.
Firetrace takes the fire detection and suppression inside of the hazard, by containing the fire to the individual enclosure damage is limited to that enclosure and the collateral damage often caused by traditional fire suppression is avoided. The simple design of the Firetrace automatic fire extinguishing system allows for minimal maintenance work. There is a greatly reduced risk of malfunction because there are virtually no moving parts, which minimizes the occurrence of false alarms.
Firetrace offers two types of distinct fire suppression systems to suit the needs of the environment:
The Firetrace Direct Low-Pressure System provides simple, reliable protection for critical assets. The Firetrace Tubing acts as both, a flame/heat detector and discharge nozzle rupturing above 200 °C or upon flame impingement.
The Firetrace Indirect Low-Pressure System uses the same red Firetrace Detection Tubing run throughout the cabinet’s components to quickly detect a fire. When the tubing ruptures, the system activates and delivers the agent through a separate piping set, quickly filling the cabinet enclosure with the agent and suppressing the fire.
